Bandera, TX — October 2, 2025 — The Arthur Nagel Community Clinic is starting a new support group, Life After Loss, to help people who are grieving find comfort, support, and healing.
The group will meet for four consecutive Thursdays, beginning October 23, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Clinic. Each session will include discussion, teaching, and hands-on activities to guide participants through the grieving process.
Led by Maria Monte, LPC, bilingual counselor for the Nagel Clinic, the sessions will cover topics such as the physical, emotional, and spiritual effects of grief, how to use memories in healing, self-care, coping with holidays and anniversaries, and planning for the future.
The support group is open to the public and limited to 12 participants. A suggested donation of $5 will help cover materials. To receive the full benefit, participants are asked to attend all four sessions: October 23, October 30, November 6, and November 13.
“This program is for anyone who has experienced loss — whether of a family member, spouse, or other loved one,” said Maria Monte. “Grief is a journey, but no one has to walk it alone.”
